Tour 30 Mar–02 Apr 2018

Peak District 4

Snow anxiety framed the tour: Will’s weather app nearly turned us back at Taunton before sense prevailed. The riding swung from bleak moors to a rough push over Hollins Cross, where mud sent George and Jude sprawling. On Easter Monday the forecast finally arrived—windows whitened, snowball skirmishes began, and we made a careful exit through Winnats Pass.

A relaxed ride to Endsleigh Garden Centre via Harbourneford and the back lanes was defined by lunch choices: two of us paid over £9 in the restaurant while Jude held out for a Co‑op Meal Deal in Ivybridge. We looped home shortly after, switching to the B3213 for the return.
