Ride Reports
Badminton
A simple early badminton session at Ashmoor Leisure Centre from 8.30 kept the club moving off the bike. The brief report notes the attendance list was incomplete, so more may have played than recorded.
Landscove Garden Centre
With a damp start and Dillan not keen to ride, the day became a relaxed off-bike social: Minecraft in the morning, then a drive to Hill House Nursery at Landscove for afternoon tea—cheese scones included—before more Minecraft.
Badminton
After a late start we played Minecraft for twenty minutes, then headed to Ashmoor for an hour of lively badminton. The best part: Will said he’ll join us for a ride a week on Sunday.

Dartington
An easy morning ride to Dartington centred on coffee and cake at the Cider Press Centre’s Venus Café and a few photos. Back home, the ride’s low-key mood continued with a shared Minecraft session.
Badminton
An easy, sociable evening that moved from Minecraft and a check of Jude’s maths paper to badminton at Ashmoor Leisure Centre, where friendly games turned competitive: Michael beat Jude, then Will beat Michael. We ended hot and tired after a very enjoyable session.
Bovey Tracey
A straightforward morning ride centred on choices: urged towards Ilsington, we sided with Dillan for Bovey Tracey and coffee at the Guild of Craftsmen. A craft fair in Mill Marsh Park then split us—Jude rode back to Ilsington while we looked round, and we headed home in rising heat.
Pizza Hut
With Jude and Dillan finishing their last GCSEs, we swapped the evening ride for a celebratory Pizza Hut in Plymouth. A quiet, good‑humoured social to toast the end of exams.

Skerraton Down
Fabulous evening sunshine and wide views over South Devon from Skerraton Down defined the ride. Gavin and Jude joined us, and we returned by the usual Cross Furzes route to be home before 9.15.

Hembury Woods
A mid-ride blowout reshaped the day, turning ambitions beyond Holne into an unhurried lunch at the tearooms. The return through Hembury Woods brought photos at Hembury Fort and a lively run down the slalom track, rounding off a shortened but cheerful outing.

Scotland 13
Heat-hazed days in the far north were stitched together by quick decisions and the odd stroke of kindness. A cloud lifted and they pressed on to the summit of Ben Nevis in cycling kit; days later they wound over the hairpins of the Bealach na Bà before a freezing, jubilant descent. Midges forced a walking lunch, a private launch whisked them across Loch Broom, and a glowing sunset at Achmelvich made every detour worthwhile.
