Ride Reports
Pixie's Cave via Dartmeet woods
A purposeful ride to Pixie’s Cave via Dartmeet; the rear exit sealed by a boulder curtailed explorations, but a spontaneous stick fight lifted spirits. We rounded off with excellent refreshments at the newly reopened Old Forge in Holne.
Broadhempston via Beaston mud track
Our first evening ride of the season was lively: standard route to Broadhempston, then the muddy Beaston–Forder Green track with a pool up to the hubs. The hilly return via Thorncroft and Pridhamsleigh was a chance to try new lights.
Cornish coast 1987 6
Salt on the air and knickerbocker glories in Looe set the tone for a coast‑hugging Easter tour. Ferries, cliff‑top hostels and a brisk south‑westerly carried us from cove to cove. A surprise tour inside Trevose Head lighthouse and a golden, barefoot evening on Perranporth sands caught the mood; later, the youngsters charged the Bodmin Moor fords again and again. The sea was our companion throughout.
Easter Special
Those members not visiting foreign lands enjoyed a leisurely amble taking in Hembury Woods, Buckland-in-the-Moor and Ashburton. The afternoon's main attraction involved eating Cad...
Spitchwick

Redlake

North Huish
The steep hill to Rattery did little to dampen the enthusiasm of young Julian Juste from Scoriton, who had joined us for his first club ride. We decided to take the little country...
Haytor
The lanes from Ashburton to Ilsington are always a pleasure during the summer months, and today was no exception. Some sleek young horses grazing beside the stream near Boro Wood ...
Devon DA Rough Stuff Event
Our Section certainly seemed to enjoy this year's event, kindly organised by Arthur Browne of Exeter. The track through Bridford Wood, near Dunsford, was certainly a pleasure but ...
Staverton Bridge
Some unfamiliar lanes near Abham entertained us admirably on this sunny evening.
Invitation Ride
Along Colston road to Hood Manor, we carried on to Staverton and Broadhempston, our official goal. Some took the track from Beeston to Forder, while others avoided the promised (b...
