There was a majority vote to visit Holne again, but this time with an extended route via the long hill to Cross Furzes. After an enjoyable round of vegetable soups we continued down the track through Holne Woods to River Dart Country Park where we spent a few minutes in the adventure playground.

To extend the ride a little further Michael suggested the Bowden Hill lane from Knowle Cross. It climbed a good deal further than he had anticipated and was little more than a grassy track in the middle portion, but it did bring us back into Ashburton exactly where Michael has expected. We then returned home at speed along the old Ashburton road.
