[Michael took car. (Pickup point was Gappah). Tao led us round Haldon Forest tracks including several we hadn't done before and brought us out on an unknown lane near Chudleigh. Coffee Bovey Tracey Brookside.]

[Lee Jordan failed to arrive, probably because of a puncture. Dean Prior, delightful back lanes to Lydia Bridge and Owley. No sign of café at Cheston. South Brent's Olive Tree café was also closed. Mark and Shane fixed punctures outside shop. Returned home by quickest route to avoid the rapidly lowering temperatures. Sunny but cold.]

[Wet start with deteriorating forecast turned out to be an excellent ride with the autumnal corridor of leaves on the way to Michelcombe and the mist drifting through the falling leaves on the descent to River Dart Country Park. John simply had to stop to take it all in. Hembury track from RDCP offered even more delightful scenery.]
