[Gavin would have been at the start but fell off and hurt his elbow near his home before the ride started. Gappah, usual road to Haldon ridge. Event organised this year by Dayle and Tao at Buller's Hill, Haldon. Good route but may be biased in favour of mountain bikes. Tao overall winner. Luke Whiting was first junior. Arren and Ryan did better than expected. Possible new recruit from Starcross called Sam. Ryan got lost in woods. Slow return against headwind. Home by 6.25. Occasional light showers.]

[Pridhamsleigh. Ashburton to see fire engine cross A38 (took some time) up hill opposite Ashburton Caravans. Ryan came off on corner, taken to Ashburton hospital in car by passer-by, Tao and Philip cycled there to assist. Rest went on to Landscove area and then down track to High Beara, home by 9.10. Weather: thundery but dry.]

[Beautiful day - almost perfect. Met David Williams and friends at Harbourneford. Lunch on Ugborough Beacon. Oliver's derailleur jockey wheel fell apart on to stony track, but found nearly all pieces and put the back together. Avon Dam full. Home by 45. Lovely ride. Ryan had problem with elbow after Friday so didn't go.]

[Luke and Craig took wrong turning in wood. MJ went back to find them. Lunch at usual seat on Hunters' Path (near Fingle Bridge). Bought milk at Chagford, ice cream at Hound Tor. Met Ian Luke. Home by 4.45. Excellent ride.]
