Decided on quick route to Chagford where bought refreshments from food store. Rain began at 3pm and continued until 4.55 on and off. Returned by 5.10 - excellent ride.]

Track to Buckland, someone asked why there were letters around the edge of the church clock instead of numbers. Descent to Spitchwick where Chris puncture - Tao threw pump and lost connector. David puncture with nail, at the top of Holne Chase; John's replacement tube turned out to be punctured and Julian's repair seemed to fail so plans to play on Playstation were abandoned. Julian walked David homewards; Michael came back to collect with car.]

[Pleasant sitting at Gappah. Had been some doubt as to whether we would attend the event due to last minute planning from Graham. Event didn't start until 2.25 by which time everyone was cold. And 5 marshals meant only 5 observed sections, but event went very well albeit quickly and the trophy went to Tao, the first time it has ever gone to our Section. This vindicates the change of rules which we've been pushing for. Returned with Torbay to Kingsteignton, then home via Bradley Woods and Rising Sun. Buckfastleigh by 6.30.]
