Copper Kettle café at South Brent for coffee. Budgie went home. Then lanes to Bloody Pool. Philip puncture (first ever) - he fixed it perfectly with expert help from Michael. Craig's crank bolt fell off. Home by 1.45.]

[Peartree. Chuley Cross. Michael gave youngsters the option of track, which they took. Very muddy. Tom puncture. Those without mudguards got plastered in mud. Now forced to take short route to Ipplepen via Broadhempston. Arrived Fermoys at 3.55. Eliot had been waiting there since 3.10. Left at 4.30, home via Broadhempston and Staverton, home by 5.40. Weather: sunny.]

[Met Eliot at Totnes. Ashprington, Bow Bridge, Tuckenhay, Blackawton. Investigated bridleway for lunch but it turned out to be muddy, so descended to 'Bow Bridge the second' for lunch. Michael problem with mudguard. Youngsters played with sticks. Philip repaired puncture. Returned through Blackawton, Moreleigh and Diptford to the Copper Kettle café at South Brent where we were told that the other cycling groups who visit there collect the money from everyone and pay as a group rather than paying individually! Buckfastleigh by 4.25.]

[Car pulled out of side road at Bovey Tracey and hit Harry. Back lanes to Ilsington. There was a new steam room in the pool area at the hotel. Lunch quite good but short on quantity. Damp and dull return through Sigford.]
